In the Classroom

School-wide Artmaking with Tom Thomson Students 2014

*** Spring 2015 Thanks to GA@White Oaks...project outline here(soon).
*** 2014 Happy Art Bubbles at Tom Thomson ...This was a school-wide engagement project at Tom Thomson Public School, with the generous help and support of Principal R. Morassut and staff. Classrooms participated in open-ended inquiry to creatively visualize their ideas of 'Happy'... for themselves, to eachother, as a class, and to the school - linking ideas of "Bucket-filling" to ideas of personal identification and celebration. More info here... project outline here.

Studio in the Classroom Projects are what we make of them: Artmaking projects that frame open-ended, socially-conscious inquiry through arts exploration in drawing, painting, sculpture and new/integrated media. Projects offer skills development and creative experience with an emphasis on discovery and collaboation.
Studio in the Classroom Projects and Workshops can help classrooms develop as creative learning spaces. Educators and students share in a practice of inquiry through artmaking, and construct unique meaning for their community. Classroom sessions are intelligently planned and age-appropriate, hands-on artmaking, designed to be fun and inspiring for all!
